MobED
Mobile Robotics
MobED is a novel, compact mobile platform that combines 4 DnL (Drive and Lift) modules. It can maintain a stable, level platform on inclined or uneven surfaces through active posture control, and can move freely in any direction through 4-wheel independent steering (4WIS). MobED can be coupled with various upper modules according to the user's needs. For example, it can be used as a micro-mobility device for people with limited mobility, such as the elderly and the disabled. MobED's minimalistic design emphasizes its unique mechanism. Pixel lighting on all sides of its body communicates MobED's state, including its driving direction.
