This electric motorcycle prototype employs AI and Yamaha-exclusive technologies to create an all-new riding experience. Its purpose is to find ways to enrich the rider-machine relationship while keeping human operation central. A dual-lens camera recognizes its owner and senses his or her biometrics, gestures and movements so it can interact with the rider as if it were alive. It can stand upright and move autonomously at slow speeds. MOTOROiD is also equipped with simple, intuitive handlebar controls and haptic feedback surfaces that envelop the rider to foster a greater sense of unity with the machine.
