Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet

Exhibition

Located in Le Brassus, at the heart of the Vallée de Joux in the Swiss Jura, the Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet plunges visitors into the cultural universe of Swiss Haute Horlogerie. The cutting-edge architectural glass spiral extends the historical building where Audemars Piguet opened his first watchmaking workshop in 1875. The museum’s scenography offers visitors a diverse experience of watchmaking – with crescendos, peaks and contemplative moments. Various sculptures, automata and kinetic installations add rhythm to the exhibition, which is optically linked to the surrounding landscape. Time becomes tangible in space.

iF Gold Statement

This project presents space as musical notes, punctuating the trajectory purposefully and generating different rhythms along the way. From viewing to doing to playing, the various punctuations are marked with outstanding precision and skill. Although minimalist in appearance, they hold a complexity within, worthy of the subject matter.
