Growing the Mycelium Chair

The MYCOsella Viridis is an innovative piece of sustainable furniture that explores the use of mycelium composite – a novel material – created through the natural processes of growth and decay. This fully biodegradable mycelium chair aims to address the environmental impact of traditional furniture production and disposal by offering an eco-friendly alternative. It provides a unique blend of form, function and environmental stewardship. Demonstrating mycelium’s viability beyond conceptual use, the chair uniquely showcases a real-world application of biomaterials, fostering bio-innovation and promoting a shift towards green manufacturing.
