MYKITA has been producing premium eyewear in the heart of Berlin since 2004. Technical innovation with an extraordinary sense of style has always been a primary focus at MYKITA. Now a resilient new hinge with new characteristics is being introduced. Its patented design consists of two main pieces held together by a single spring. This component will be used in MYKITA’s “Collection No. 2”. The new hinge is produced via “Metal Injection Molding”, a technologically advanced method of making small, precise steel parts. The result is an elegant solid stainless steel hinge with a flex effect for extra comfort in putting the frame on or taking it off.
