Our light field technology prototype enables a natural 3D experience for all passengers, without the need for special glasses or a head tracker camera. Three dimensional accents and complex lightning details increase the joy of use of the user interface and positively affect visual appeal, UX and user acceptance. Touch control is supported by active haptic feedback, this increases comfort and operational safety. Capacitive free air gestures enable interaction with virtual 3D objects. The 3D representation eases the judging of distances, it also lowers the reaction time on unexpected events.
