The MeisterSinger Neo Pointer Date gives a lesson in the history of horology with the date display in the center of the dial, a long tradition in the history of watchmaking. The window date that predominates today was only introduced in the 1940s. However, while most watches with a hand date mark the days of the month on the outer edge with long calendar-hands, MeisterSinger’s version adopts another horological principle: namely that the longest periods of time are indicated by the shortest hand.
