Night Falls on the Berlin of the Roaring Twenties

Book design

“Night Falls on the Berlin of the Roaring Twenties“ is a book about the golden age of Berlin. It follows the lives of major artists and writers, but also theater actors, movie stars, directors, and other movers and shakers to tell the story of how the arts triumphed in this era of technological innovation, societal transformation and political unrest. Using hand-drawn typography, the book is illustrated and designed in the style of illuminated advertising, billboards, old movies, and movie posters, translating musical and cinematic elements into the medium of a book.
