NIJO KOUHAKU-MAI is a packaged premium organic rice for special gift and celebration. "NIJO" is the name of the farming area. "KOUHAKU" means auspicious red and white color, "MAI" means rice. The package includes organic white rice and red rice grown with low agrochemicals. The red rice tradition has been passed down from ancient times and the local farmers have continued to improve sustainable farming. This product has a Japanese traditional curved form and is made from special white paper that reflects the image of a bride’s kimono, the red flower is indicative of traditional handicraft associated with chopstick rests and other accessories.
