Nike Flyknit Collective

A platform for innovators

Nike, Inc.

Nike Flyknit technology changes the way performance footwear is designed, produced and worn. It is based upon the core benefits of performance, lightness, formfitting and sustainability. The same characteristics can be applied to other fields of innovation and creativity. With this connection in mind, Nike formed the Nike Flyknit Collective: a platform for creative innovators worldwide to generate dialog around and interact with these fundamental principles. A global mix of artists created expressions of Flyknit in Rio de Janeiro, London and New York City, Milan and Tokyo.

iF Gold Statement

Nike has developed a platform for installations by creative innovators on which they can transmit the advantages of the Nike Flyknit material into physical structures and spaces within their own community. The means applied, the tools and also the size of the installations, which originated in London and Rio de Janeiro, among others, reflect the backgrounds of the respective artists. Cultural differences are perfectly staged.
