Non-invasive Monitoring and Diagnostic Device

The brain4care sensor marks the birth of a new vital sign. Before it, when patients arrived at the emergency room with neurological problems such as fainting or a severe headache and required an assessment of intracranial pressure, they would have their skull drilled to install a sensor – this is why this is rarely done. This new solution is non-invasive - a sensor mounted to a head strap that measures micro variations of the skull’s perimeter. Combined with the traditional vital signs of temperature, blood pressure, heart and respiratory rate, pupil, and oximetry, it allows more accurate diagnostics that were previously almost impossible.
