Tradeshow appearance

Nord Stream AG made its first public appearance at its stand at Hannover Fair 2007. This newly formed joint venture was set up to build a major gas pipeline across the Baltic Sea, supplying Russian gas reserves to Europe and playing a major role in safeguarding Europe’s access to energy. Furthermore, this project will contribute to consolidating the political and economic ties between Russia and the European Union. This tradeshow stand provided information on the technical and political dimensions of the project. By communicating with the public in this way Nord Stream AG was responding to a public climate of opinion. That is why objectivity and transparency were the criteria for the public impact of the tradeshow appearance. The stand was made up of a display wall and a pipe, symbolizing the pipeline. Nord Stream AG’s corporate design, based on a blue and green color climate, defined the visual design. The materials deployed, consisting essentially of transparent acrylic glass, helped underpin a sense of transparency. The pipes on the floor, together with the abstract water walls, created an effective aesthetic representation of the pipeline concept, adding to the feeling of tangibility.
