The starcity, the landmark of Seoul, is the best and biggest residential-commercial building. The pathway which is a part of Starcity is the very important main entrance for people visiting this area. Another purpose is to make the public experience art and culture more closely by converting the commercial space of a big city into an art gallery. The main concept is Gatharia. This is a compound word coming from gather and area, which means The space that encompasses all beautiful scenes of nature. Sixteen moving image lighting equipments which are installed on the wall display three-dimensional images on the opposite wall. This performance gives the observer a more realistic feeling. On the floor, the LED lightings display an organic shape, which are installed at different intervals depending on the finishing material of the floor. More than 3,000 LEDs perform various themes linked with the same theme of the wall. Multi-directional system speakers are installed invisibly inside the wall, floor, and ceiling of the architecture. The real sound recorded on the spot according to each theme makes the space more rhythmical and dynamic along with the lightning performance.
