Sustainable development

Over the next 10 to 15 years rising sea levels are likely to bring irreversible changes to our environment. Ocean Community is a future mobility vision designed to deal with rising sea levels. By creating floating mobile living units, we can transform a disaster zone into habitable space, using the ocean as a living space. These new structures can serve as a fully functional living space, connected with existing infrastructure on land. They can support the development of new communities in the ocean, becoming a natural extension of coastal cities. The units are designed to be located 800 meters from coastlines, close to everyday life on land.

JURY STATEMENT

This is a well designed and thought-through concept for a potential real-life scenario. The design is attractively visualized, with sustainability in mind. The modularity and scalability of the idea makes it realizable on a large scale.

WINNER STATEMENT

I'm truly happy to be among the winners of the iF DESIGN TALENT AWARDs! It is a great opportunity to be heard and to present my work to the public. Congratulation to all designers for their great work!
