OCT Hot Spring Town
Typeface and signage
OCT Hot Spring Town, surrounded by hills and rivers, is a resort that features a simple and modern environment. Against this backdrop, we designed a set of 3D typefaces as the main element of the signage system. Featuring the strokes in shapes of sphere, cylinder or concave with a silver metal visual effect, the typefaces are still visual-friendly amidst the natural environment. Simple yet highly distinguished, they become the focal point of the whole space, as well as the icons of the signage. Based on this concept, the interwoven slender column structure is applied to other signage and furniture design, echoing the simple yet unique feature of the place.
