Optical Coherence Tomography

Canon Inc.

A combination optical coherence tomography (OCT)/fundus camera system enabling continuous, fully automated imaging of both eyes. Patients can sit still more comfortably through exams that last a few minutes because the chin/forehead rest is tilted 5° downward, which improves the success rate of imaging. Automatic imaging for multiple binocular exams at once simplifies operation and streamlines the imaging workflow, enabling much shorter exams. In this way, the system makes exams easier for patients and technicians alike and contributes to early detection of eye disease.
