With ODE, Bel Epok presents a remarkable publication that lets scent be seen. The fragrance fanzine was inspired by the idea of honoring perfume as a cultural asset. ODE gives space to associative images that reflect esthetically and thematically on the nature of fragrance. It is an experiment that involved 48 creative collaborators from a range of disciplines, each a maker or purveyor of images. Participants including, among others, an art dealer, a master chef, an author, a designer and a photographer contributed to expressing perfume in pictures. The result is an uncommon, sensuous insight into the associative power of images.
