Oink aims to help children learn about digital money by the characteristics of physical cash at the start their financial lives. It visually teaches the process of transactions and value by showing icons and animation instead of just numbers. It encourages kids spend intentionally by requiring them to top-up the card before usage; like a wallet. A physical piggy bank is used to help them see their savings going into a physical space rather than just an account. The simulated interest can help them learn how money grow in a bank account. With Oink, children can adopt the fiscal concept more intuitively through objects and symbols.
