On-Air for Gender Inclusive Nature-based Solutions

Interactive radio for climate, environment &gender

It promotes knowledge exchange, community action and informs policy on nature based solutions (NbS) for climate adaptation using innovative radio approaches i.e. On-Air Dialogues, documentaries, podcasts. Problem: Limited access to information on climate change and adaptive measures restricts decision making at community levels. It encourages implementation of NbS in more than 500 communities across Uganda, Ethiopia, Zambia, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire and is increasing local leaders’ responsiveness to expressed rural community needs. It should be supported to enable direct policy engagement at national level using project evidence.

JURY STATEMENT

Interactive radio for climate, environment & gender stands out among so many transformative projects for being simple yet highly impactful. Thanks to its programs, nearly 8M people implemented climate-smart agriculture solutions for nature-positive mitigation and gender inclusion
