One / Split House
Residential interiorair studio
This is an interior renovation of a photographer’s residence in a rowhouse in Taiwan. It turns multiple spaces into a single living domain – an uninterrupted space that light travels through yet with individual places defined based on daily needs. Inspired by a camera diaphragm, a set of diverging frames are arrayed along a polarized space tensioned between a neutral photography room and a warm wooden bedroom. Various living needs are sandwiched in-between while adhering to an overall space with intangible boundaries.
