Three years ago, our team was commissioned to redesign the layout of a merged single-family flat and, recently, modified the shared living area again. Departing from the conventional delineation of public and private spaces, the team utilized a bold deconstruction and re-proportioning approach to integrate the dining room and kitchen seamlessly. The team reconfigured the living room layout, positioned the sofa and TV wall longitudinally, and separated the main and second bedrooms on opposite sides. It preserves distinct private living spaces for family members while fostering a cohesive communal area where emotions can converge.
