OneShoe
Shoe exchange app
Almost every shoe retailer in the world sells shoes only in pairs. This retail practice ignores the needs of some disabled people to purchase a single shoe and represents an unequal and even discriminatory treatment of people with one foot. OneShoe is a single-shoe exchange platform created to eliminate this inequality. Thanks to OneShoe, people with one foot can exchange their unused shoes with others who have different foot disabilities. OneShoe eliminates the inequality of having to buy a pair of shoes while maximizing the value of every shoe.
This simple yet ingenious solution addresses a problem that those unaffected have probably never considered but which negatively impacts some disabled people. A great example of design thinking outside the (shoe)box!
