With the case, the leather-like surface helps you hold the iPhone without it slipping. With the lanyard, you can hang your iPhone around your neck. Even when you are not using it as a camera, it can help keep your iPhone from accidently falling. The attachment is also designed for tripods. When you need to take a certain photo or video in professional but stable way with your iPhone, you can remove the lanyard and place it on any tripod.
