Ophthalmology laser

In a quest for technology that as such causes less suffering in patients, Opto invested in the production of a yellow laser which for a long time was commercial unprofitable. In a partnership with researcher Ellen Pask from Australia, a laser cavity was developed that generates the length of a yellow wave. With the technology at hand the equipment’s design project was initiated, prioritizing attributes founded on Opto’s values. Aimed at the comfort of the user and patient, a reliable, ergonomic product was achieved with a high finish standard, a new operating pedal and a touch screen with a completely new interface design.
