Origin Geometry — Pattern Evolution
Graphic Design
Hangzhou Arts and Crafts Museum
This design draws inspiration from the 4,000-year-old Majiayao painted pottery, reinterpreting prehistoric totems through a contemporary visual language. Grounded in the geometric essence of the motifs, it integrates semiotic analysis with the rational aesthetics of Swiss International Style to reconstruct traditional forms. Centered on the visual logic of “fragmentation and reorganization,” the work symbolizes the continuity and rebirth of culture. Through dynamic media, it revitalizes motifs once associated with rituals, fertility, and the cycle of life, creating a cross-temporal dialogue between ancient symbolism and modern design.
