Outpost is a space inspired by the historical "Dondae" in Ganghwa, South Korea. The "Dondae" is a circular fortress made of stones, built during the Joseon Dynasty to attack enemies and maintain vigilance. This space reinterprets the tense atmosphere of the "Dondae" to offer a boundary where modern individuals can focus on nature and recharge. The circular, low walls are a key design element of the "Dondae," providing visitors with a sense of maternal stability while also serving as a device that separates viewers' lines of sight and movement, allowing them to concentrate on nature.
