:output is the largest international competition for students of visual communications. Every year students from more than 40 different nations submit over 1,000 entries to the competition, where a jury of internationally known designers selects the projects to be published in the :output yearbook. :output nurtures young talent and reveals the state of the art in design schools around the globe. jung und pfeffer developed the concept for :output, established the :output foundation in Amsterdam (which organizes the project) and are responsible for the annual design of its yearbook.
