PACBIO RS is a third-generation DNA sequencing instrument, able to analyze biochemical reactions in real time. The PACBIO RS will help transform medicine, agriculture and biofuels, allowing scientists to study diseases, drug responses and environmental factors faster and with more accuracy. The PACBIO RS integrates the complexities of lasers, optics, robots, computing and environmental control into a cohesive package. The design employs surface layering, color breaks and floating waterfall panels to minimize perceived size. Controlled curves help a potentially intimidating machine appear approachable, while maintaining an image of power and precision.
