Pachanga
Book
Verlag Hermann Schmidt Mainz GmbH & Co. KG
Pachanga means party in Latin America. This is the title chosen by Belén Mena for her interpretations of moth mating behavior in the cloud forest of Ecuador. She collected hundreds of them and discovered in their wings a formal language ranging from Baroque to psychedelic, from Biedermeier to Vienna workshops. This cosmos of colors and forms is published in book form as a precious, loving collection full of ideas - starting with the woven cover with a Pachanga pattern to the introduction on thin paper, which gives the impression that you can hear the rustle of the cloud forest, to the typographical interpretations of the moth's flight.
