Furniture

Roots are the branches that reach down into the earth. Branches are roots that reach into the air. Rabindranath Tagore has fused the nearly-forgotten traditional Chinese paper-molding skills and furniture design into a single entity, presenting furniture made of layers of paper. The furniture is made to last in hopes of supporting the notion of "appreciating what you have ", "being eco-friendly" and "furniture that lasts a lifetime". The basic idea: "paper is tree". By applying the traditional Chinese paper-molding skills, paper furniture has been created that is comparable to wood furniture in terms of longevity and weight-bearing strength.
