Parka

Text typeface

Parka is a sans-serif text typeface. It has been developed in context of a degree dissertation at the information design department of the University of Applied Sciences in Graz. This publication unites theory, work documentation and font sample. On one hand it deals with the origin and the development of our letterforms, typographic terms and different type classifications and on the other hand it documents the development of Parka, starting from rudimentary sketches and the analysis of other typefaces, to the iterative development of Parka’s very own style.
