Trade-fair stand
“Past – Present – Future” presents about 50 chairs chronologically arranged under spotlights. The stage-like installation places the design classics of Kusch+Co in context to its new products. The historical chair models are suspended in front of a floor to ceiling mirror and form a “gallery of ancestors”. The new chairs are put on the stage. While being invited to take a seat, the visitors themselves are integrated into the scenography. Films tie the seating items into narrations. Thus, their role changes from prop to the main actor. The narrative space becomes a living setting.
