Up until now, the safety inspection of railways has been carried out by trackwalkers' patrols for tens of thousands of kilometers every day, which is not only inefficient but also a potential safety risk. The unmanned patrolling plane can be used to replace the daily manual inspection. It checks if there is a foreign object on the railway using its on-board camera and makes ultrasonic flaw detections on the track at intervals through its bottom-mounted ultrasonic detector to check if a screw is loose. Once it identifies an issue, it will send the data of the abnormity to the maintenance center to assign people to repair it in a timely way.
