The Edge Node is a “bridge” device that connects traditional two-way radio networks to cloud-services and workflows (for location tracking, messaging, data flows). The Companion App is a “remote control / status monitor” for that bridge — It is used to install hardware, establish connections, enter proper settings, verify that the cloud link is healthy, and allow users to check system status or health from a phone or tablet. It reduces manual effort, avoids errors, ensures the gateway functions as expected, and allows rapid system troubleshooting or confirmation.
