Going through emergency care can be stressful not only for a child who is brought into this unfamiliar environment, but also for parents who have to balance their own anxiety with supporting the child. Ambient Experience for Pediatric Emergency Department is designed to reduce this stress, and creates a positively engaging experience with the use of lighting, sound, images and integrated workflow solutions. Patient rooms are embedded with digital sounds, lighting and animations that patients can enjoy and control themselves. Waiting areas are designed with relaxing visuals as well as interactive playful elements.
