Periodic Table of Elements

Web app

Art. Lebedev Studio

The Periodic Table of Elements is a graphic representation of the fundamental laws of nature and a day-to-day tool for thousands of people across the globe. Given the number of properties of each element, how the table should look has long been a subject of debate. The kind of table used by a chemist would intimidate the average student, but the stripped-back version is of limited use to a professional. So, most designs end up as a compromise. The renowned Russian design studio Art. Lebedev have come up with an adjustable layout that draws on a database of parameters to compile different tables to match each user’s needs. The database covers 30 characteristics including electronic and nuclear, physical properties, occurrence in nature, discovery, and classification.
