PET lite 9.9 carbonated

Lightweight bottle

The “PET lite 9.9 carbonated” concept is a successful attempt to develop a package with minimum material input providing maximum benefit for the consumer and the environment. The 500 ml bottle uses 9.9 g of PET; a new development in carbonated beverages. Comparable bottles weigh considerably more (14-18 g). Included benefits: 1. two different functional regions, 2. upper part has a higher wall thickness for good opening and handling, 3. lower part has a reduced wall thickness for significant weight savings, 4. reduced closure weight using a “ringpull closure”, 5. direct printed bottles, no label material needed.
