Personal Field Speaker

Sony Corporation Creative Center

The PFR-V1 is a revolutionary new headwear personal field speaker that allows users to enjoy a highly realistic sound experience. It proposes a new style that differs completely from conventional headphones, eliminating any departure from natural, open field sound. The shape relates to the function — the speakers are lifted away from the face to reduce echo waves around the speakers. Special efforts were put into the frame design to represent lightness in look and feel, as well as in actual weight.
