A redesign of the most popular IoT mobile application, The Philips Hue App 3.0 version improves usability, feature sets and aesthetics for new incoming user groups. Philips noticed that new users were struggling with the digital light control paradigms, and usability studies identified the sources behind these issues. Developers created a new digital design language and methodology that not only fixed these problems, but also gave the app a better foundation for future changes. Philips Hue App 3.0 introduces new ways of controlling and managing a home lighting system for the mass consumer market. It lowers the learning curve and makes important functionalities more accessible.
