The Milewide luminaire is part of a wide range of road accessories, based on a first prize in a design competition. It is suitable for mounting on a horizontal arm and is produced in three sizes. Housing and bottom frame are manufactured of anodised chill cast aluminium. The surface is centrifugal cleansed and provided a lacquer finish. This titanium-like surface is resistant towards weather and ultraviolet radiation. The small luminaire is supplied with a new compact light called Cosmo, and has been given a specially developed compact optique. It is therefore suitable for smaller roads in residential areas, where a correct colour recognition is relevant. The cover bowl is made from toughened glass, the edge is masked by serigraphy. The opening mechanism of the housing provides easy access for installation, lamp replacement or service.
