Phoenix AST 2

Towbarless aircraft tract

The AST 2 is a high-performance tractor for aircrafts up to 300 t. A sophisticated kinematic lifts them by the nose wheel in such a way that they are moved safely and precisely with optimum load distribution. With the rotatable control console the driver always sits in driving direction, the generously glazed elevating cabin gives him the best possible survey. The ergonomics of the driver terminal with intuitively evident interface design is exemplary. By the modular construction it is possible to generate further versions of the special purpose vehicle with high recognition value. Due to its intelligent material mix, 90% of the AST 2 can be recycled.
