Photography Pro is a still image shooting feature provided on Xperia models released in the first half of 2020. The shooting workflow of professional photographers was studied and the user experience of the successive Sony cameras used as a benchmark to create an app that provides an authentic shooting experience on a smartphone. Aspects of a real camera have been reproduced down to the smallest detail, including the tutorial that launches when powered on for the first time, the behavior when switching modes, no in-screen shutter button, horizontal shooting position, white balance and other feature setting behavior, haptic feedback and more.
