While conventional adhesive tape applicators cut the adhesive layer by pressing down on the reel, the PiT Air has a new mechanism, the "AirTouch" system, which locks the reel when cutting the glue layer so that the resistance significantly decreases. This makes for exceptionally easy and smooth application of the glue tape.
