PLA Shrink Film

Role packaging

Konrad Hornschuch AG

The PLA Shrink Film is a compostable biology plastic foil, which is won from renewable raw materials. The base for the PLA (Polylactid) is a dextrose which originates from the fermentation process of plants. In the production up to 68% less energy is used in comparison to customary foils. Also the processing requires less energy. It’s the first application of PLA for d-c-fix® self-adhesive films. The printable foil substitutes the present materials such as plastic and self-adhesive paper etiquettes. It is biodegradable and its application is an active contribution on the subject of climate change by reducing CO₂ emissions.
