Our new flagship speaker, the Play:5, Sonos has reconsidered its out of box experience. This packaging solution is the first application of a system. Sonos approaches the out of box experience as the first customer touch point in a seamless journey from purchase, to setup, to playing music. Removing all distractions and achieving a dramatic reveal of Play:5 was critical. We designed a unique lid with concealed cushioning. The customer only becomes aware of the top cushion when disassembling the box for recycling. A proprietary locking system (patent pending) secures the lid to the base.
