Text, language and wordplay are key elements of the Poetry Slam. The present writing, inspired by examples from rap culture and graffiti tags, also contains an optical play with words: by a one-eighty turn the word Poetry becomes Slam, and vice versa. The cursive writing was chosen in order to capture the spontaneous and personal elements common to Poetry Slam; it was drafted with a broad marker pen and then edited and optimized digitally.
