Polar Research Vehicle

Bachelor thesis in cooperation with the Alfred-Wegener-Institute for Polar and Marine Research in Bremerhaven, Germany. This concepts allows four scientists to work, live and travel independently to wherever their task leads them, while providing them with a safe environment, all the necessary equipment and a small range of comfort. Strong winds and continuous sunshine in Antarctica provide perfect conditions for the solar panels and retractable wind rotors, which help to reduce the environmental impact. The loading area holds two snow mobiles, a collapsible gyrocopter, as well as additional equipment.
