The former Police Dormitory on Nanda Road is near Hsinchu Railway Station, Hsinchu Park, and Hsinchu Zoo. Old trees surround the building base. This restoration aligns with the local government's Old Tree House Project, meant to preserve important cultural assets and precious trees. The designers aim to connect the urban environment, the outdoor green space, and the Nanda Road Police Dormitory to create a pleasant space for residents and visitors. After the restoration, the building will be a cultural art space for exhibitions and shops.
