Pong Xu

Residential Interior Design

Hidden in the alleys of Tainan, 'Pong Xu' marks the rebirth of a forty-year-old home through the quiet poise of Japanese minimalism. Fair-faced concrete and warm wood define the tone, while curved ceilings and soft light ease the low beams and calm the space’s rhythm. Spanning four floors and about 149m2, the layout was reimagined: a welcoming first-floor dining area, a long table and an indoor tree recalling childhood on the second, a playful cabin nook on the third, and a tranquil retreat above. Muted greys, wood grain, and begonia glass merge restraint with warmth—sustaining memory through simplicity and light.
