Medical device

Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPRs) protect the user by filtering out contaminants in the air. They are used in medical institutions to block the transmission of potentially infectious aerosols and patient blood, body fluids, secretions, etc. to medical personnel. These are 99.97% efficient against 0.3-micron particles. This PAPR device can provide assigned protection factors (APFs) ranging from 25 to 1,000, which is more than N95 respirators whose APF is 10. The improved protection is largely provided by the positive pressure in the head covering. The airflow can keep the shield from fogging and can reduce heat buildup. Lightweight and convenient to carry, the battery can last more than 6 hours.
